World Liberty Financial, the decentralized finance (DeFi) project associated with Donald Trump and his family, has been buying crypto like crazy.
Just hours ahead of Trump’s inauguration on January 20, WLF purchased $46.8 million worth of Ether ETH $3,265.24 and $46.7 million in wrapped Bitcoin WBTC $101,162.73.
On top of that, WLF also bought some Ethena (ENA), wrapped Tron (wTRX), Chainlink (LINK), Aave (AAVE), and Uniswap (UNI).
The crypto market went down a bit after Trump’s inauguration, and some people say it’s because Trump didn’t mention crypto once during his speech.
Maybe. But these things are often simply cyclical.
