Ironically, 2024 has been a rather uneventful year for crypto.
Only thing happened: Bitcoin set a new all-time high.
It’s a big deal, but it was arguably the only big deal of the year. No major crypto project went bust, no major crypto figure was arrested.
Most major crypto projects that were around during the last cycle failed to reclaim their all-time high, including ETH.
Even though it must be noted that two major crypto projects did set a new ATH, though, namely BNB and SOL.
All in all, an uneventful year, made very eventful by two main things. The Bitcoin ETF and Trump’s election, which may or may have not, directly or indirectly, fuelled the new all-time high.
So maybe not so uneventful after all.
Either way, I see 2025 as a year of consolidation. I don’t think BTC will reach a new ATH next year, I think it may fall below $90,000 or $80,000, or it may hover around that area for a while, while other altcoins pick up and catch up.
2025 is a year of consolidation, which means it’ll be a year of accumulation.
