In a post shared to a Bitcoin forum, on November 8, 2010, a user who went by ribuck predicted the arrival of s*tcoins.
He said that if Bitcoin really took off, he could see lots of get-rick-quick imitators.
“If Bitcoin really takes off, I can see lots of get-rich-quick imitators coming on the scene: gitcoin, nitcoin, shitcoin. Some of them are sure to attract users with promises like ‘why use Bitcoin where you can only generate 50 bitcoins every few months, use shitcoin instead and you’ll get 51 shitcoins every 2 minutes,” he wrote.
Well he wasn’t wrong.
I’ve been gradually divesting from any crypto that isn’t BTC, but I still have some. My goal is to eventually get rid of nearly everything. I’ll see what I’ll do with Sol, Sui, Eth and Atom.
