A user who goes by Sir Doge of the Coin posted on X, asking “Who else wants Tesla to bring back the Dogecoin payment option for merch?!”
This person has a lot of followers on X, so his posts generally receive a lot of attention and comments, including, on this occasion, one from Elon Musk himself.
The owner of X simply replied “me”.
Dogecoin used to be a payment option for Tesla, but it was then removed for some reason. Probably due to some ‘beef’ with concerned shareholders.
Elon Musk is a crypto bro, Tesla even has BTC on its balance sheet, and Musk has always said he likes Doge more than any other crypto, for whatever reason.
I’ve never bought anything from the Tesla website, but I agree it would be cool if Doge was included again.
