NordVPN is not as good as it used to be, or is it just me?

Is it just me?


I’ve been using NordVPN for about three years at this point.


I signed up for two years, then I needed to renew my subscription and because of NordVPN’s weird policy, I had to create a new account, and I’ve already prepaid till March 2026.


The problem is, Nord is not as good as it used to be.


When I started using it, the connection was seamless and quick and stable. Now it’s none of those things.


For starters, I no longer can use Nord on my laptop.


Now I’m going to concede that this may be something to do with my laptop, to be honest I’m still trying to work it out.


Every time I open the app, it immediately crashes and shuts itself down. And my laptop asks me if I want to send a report, which I do, every time, but nothing ever changes.


And yes I’ve tried updating my OS and deleting the app and installing it again and so on.


Nothing works.


Fine.


But I also have issues with my phone.


In the past, Nord would never stop working, would never pause, would never switch from one server to another, would never hesitate when I’m switching from WiFi to cellular to WiFi and so on.


Now it does.


I’m not sure why.


But I’m kinda stuck, because I’ve already paid till 2026.


I’m considering getting a different VPN for my Mac, but I’d feel bad having to pay two VPN services at the same time.


Is it just me? Is anybody else having a similar experience?
