Nearly one year later, Logan Paul has reignited the feud with Coffeezilla and decided he is suing him after all.
Here’s a summary of what happened.
Coffeezilla, a YouTuber and ‘internet investigator’ who became prominent chiefly due to his coverage of the FTX saga, accused Logan Paul of scamming people with his now defunct crypto project, ‘CryptoZoo’.
Logan Paul responded by throwing two of the people that worked with him under the bus, accusing them of being the ones to blame and criminals, and threatened to sue in CoffeeZilla.
In short, Logan Paul essentially says the project simply failed, but he never set out to scam anybody.
Shortly thereafter, Logan Paul deleted the video, did a 360° and said he wouldn’t sue Coffeezilla after all.
He actually thanked Coffeezilla for helping him clear things out and said he’d allocate a seven-figure sum to refund people.
Nothing really happened for a while, almost a year.
And now, seemingly out of the blue, Logan Paul said he is suing Coffeezilla after all.
The lawsuit was filed on June 27, 2024 in Texas District Court.
According to the lawsuit, Coffeezilla “maliciously and repeatedly published false statements accusing Paul of operating a scam”, and did so to boost his own YouTube channel and therefore his income.
Logan Paul wants $75,000 in damages + lawyer fees.
I don’t know what caused Paul to change his mind, and $75k is a weird amount of money for Paul.
I guess it’s an image thing. So now it depends on whatever the judge decides.
