Nothing launches a ‘Special Edition’ version inspired by an icon from the 1990s

It’s cool, but is it worth the extra cash?

Nothing is a hype brand, just like OnePlus, in a way, which is another brand founded by Carl Pei.

After toying with the idea of buying a Nothing Phone 1, which I didn’t because it was too expensive, I caved in and bought a Nothing Phone (2a), and it was an excellent purchase.

The thing is, Nothing customized the OS to make it as user-friendly and stylish as possible, and it works. Nothing is just about the only Android phone I’ve used that doesn’t feel like just another Android phone.

And now there’s a new one.

It’s still the Nothing Phone (2a), but this is a ‘Special Edition’ inspired by Super Nintendo.

The Super Nintendo Nothing Phone (2a) runs on the Dimensity 7200 Pro chip with 20GB of RAM, and a 5.000 mAh battery which, according to Nothing, is good enough for 2-3 days.

It has a 50MP camera that supports 4k.

It costs €379, so that’s €50 more than the ‘standard’ Nothing Phone (2a).

Is it worth the €50 extra? Not sure. Probably not. But the Nothing Phone (2a) is definitely good value.
