A while back, I bought Worldcoin (WLD). Then, I thought about it, changed my mind, decided I want nothing, and I repeat nothing, to do with OpenAI in any form, and sold it at a loss.
I think it was a good decision. And every move OpenAI makes, everything its bombastic CEO says, I know I was right. At least for myself. You’re free to do what you want, of course.
The Scarlett Johansson saga is a cautionary tale. Here’s what happened. OpenAI requested permission to use Johansson’s voice. She said NO. OpenAI ignored her, still sampled her voice for ChatGPT and then bragged about it with an incredibly arrogant X post.
And now Worldcoin is under pressure because of the way it collects biometric data.
You know Logan Paul? It sometimes feels Logan Paul wants to become a billionaire, and absolutely doesn’t care who gets hurt in the process, financially or otherwise.
I see Sam Altman in the same breath. He wants to develop AI, and he doesn’t seem to care who gets hurt, financially or otherwise, in the process.
I want nothing to do with OpenAI or anything even remotely connected to it. I might be wrong. But I don’t think I am.
