I may have mentioned my newfound obsession with headphones and audio.
I’m not sure where it stems from but here I am. And so here we go. And this is the latest product I’ve become interested in, a new pair of headphones courtesy of Sonos.
When this pair dropped, everyone focused on the fact that Sonos, a household name in the industry, had never made headphones before.
But I wanna focus on something else. Partly because I’m a contrarian at heart, but chiefly because it stood out to me.
The shape, and the price.
The design of the headphones, officially known as Sono Ace, seems heavily influenced by the Apple AirPods Max, to me at least.
Even the way they lie flat reminds me of the Apple AirPods Max.
And the price does, too.
These are priced at $449, which is not too far from the Max, which still (technically) retail for $549 even though they’re a three-year-old product.
Apple never officially lowered the price.
I like them. I’d like to try them. But I don’t know how. Because I don’t think I’m ready to shell out nearly 500 dollars for a test.
We’ll see.
