Bitcoin surpassed its new ATH, then set new ones above $70k, $80k, $90k and then even above $100k.
But while all of that happened, altcoins remained quiet. They kinda idled and nothing more.
Most altcoins didn’t even get close to their previous ATH, including ETH.
XRP and SOL, bought with new, fresh ATHs, are the exception.
I think the fact that there are so many cryptos played a key role in this.
Altcoins come and go, Bitcoin stays.
Also, ETH is still the go-to blockchain for everything, but there are so many cryptos that do pretty much the same things, but they’re much cheaper and sometimes faster.
Personally, I think I’ll continue to do what I’ve been doing for a while, gradually shaving off all of my holdings apart from BTC.
My BTC stack keeps growing, and I’m buying a lot of Sui ahead of Sui Basecamp in May, but, other than that, all altcoins are beginning to look a bit… unattractive to me.
