There’s a new Learn&Earn quest in Coinbase, and you can earn Dimo (DIMO).
Dimo starts from the conviction that cars are stuck in the flip phone phase.
In terms of technology, especially when it comes to security, they haven’t progressed in the same way that phone did.
Dimo says that the auto industry is obsolete, and way too centralized.
Dimo further believes that cars should be more than they are, and should for example become their own DMV, their own valets and so on.
They call themselves a DePIN, which stands for Decentralized physical infrastructure network, and the idea is to turn your car into a smartphone, with its own apps and so on.
Heads up, there are four quests, only two earn you money, and one isn’t easy.
The first and second quest don’t earn you money. The third one does, $2. The fourth one would theoretically earn you an extra $24, but you need to connect your car to Dimo.
Quoting from their website, “DIMO works with almost any vehicle manufactured from 2008 or newer that is registered in the USA or Canada. We also support several vehicles across the EU and the UK, as long as they have 17-digit VINs.”
I still haven’t tried with mine. I might. Or I might not.
