Crypto project targets OpenAI with new AI assistant

It’s mildly useful.

Akash Network (AKT), a crypto project, debuts in the busy and competitive world of AI-powered chatbots.

It’s called Chat Akash Network, and it is essentially exactly what you’d think, an AI-powered chatbot, which uses Llama 3.2 3B (ie, Meta) as a language model.

I tried using it for a bit, and it works quite well, it provides relatively comprehensive answers, which makes it mildly useful.

I also tried copy-pasting a link to a YouTube channel, and the chatbot said it couldn’t process that, so that’s something worth bearing in mind.

I use Perplexity, just because I got it for free for a year with my Nothing Phone, but to be honest I don’t like that either.

For now, I haven’t used ChatGPT, I think I must be the only person in the world who hasn’t, so I don’t have any experience with that.

Maybe somebody who has more experience than me can try Akash and let me know how it compares to other equivalent rivals.
