There’s a new crypto project called Over, with its own native token, OVR.
The idea is simple, sort of, and ambitious.
They call it a ‘Map2earn’ project, and the idea is to use your smartphone camera to take pictures of locations.
Then, putting together all the pictures taken but all users worldwide, you get the ‘world’s most detailed 3D map’, which is sort of what Google already does with Google Earth, to be honest, but slightly different because it’s a collection of pictures rather than a van driving around.
Over says they’ve already mapped 55,000 key locations, not sure what they mean by ‘key’, and they say you can earn up to $3 per map, which takes four minutes to create.
I find that a bit optimistic, to be honest. But I might give it a try and get back to you.
