Telegram launched a new Web3 game called Hamster Kombat and, since the launch, there has been talk about a potential airdrop for HMSTR token.
Initially scheduled for July 2024, the airdrop was delayed several times, and it is now scheduled for September, although it is apparently going to be delayed again or, some say, cancelled altogether.
In theory, the idea was to allocate 60 percent of the token supply to be distributed among players.
In practice, no one for sure what’s going to happen.
There are internal disputes going on.
An investment firm called AD.RU has reportedly invested around $1.6 million in the game, and they were expecting a 25 percent share in the project.
By contrast, the project manager of the game said AD.RU was never even involved in the first place.
Then, the former marketing director quit.
He too was apparently promised 25 percent and never received it.
For these reasons, the airdrop deadline might be pushed back again.
Hopefully they won’t cancel it.
