The University of Wyoming, which is in Laramie, has just launched the new Bitcoin Research Institute.
The new Research Institute, which is de-facto led by Andrew M. Bailey, author of Resistance Money: A Philosophical Case for Bitcoin.
Bailey said the University will feature annual summer workshops, host seminars and offer academic prizes, too.
The University said the Research Institute is set up as a nonprofit and it will be accepting Bitcoin donations to assist research.
The Institute said they’ll be allocating 4 percent of their investments to BTC, and promise not to sell any BTC donations.
