Jesse Powell, co-founder of Kraken, donated $1 million to Donald Trump campaign.
The amount is not exactly news-breaking, because $1 million is a lot for and you but it’s not that big a deal to both to Powell and Trump, and the fact it was donated in Ether is also not particularly shocking.
I do find it interesting, though, that he made his donation public.
At the end of the day, Powell (the fact he’s also called Powell is ironic, isn’t it) is a crypto person, and like all crypto people, his priority is to make sure crypto gets the best possible treatment and that, clearly, so far at least, has come Republican candidates and authorities, not Democrats.
More importantly, I wish we could simply go back to the days when somebody could vote for one party or another, and disagree with each other, without automatically calling anybody who disagrees with you a monster or whatever.
Maybe this is also a sign that this is changing.
