Bitcoin price on Easter Day

There’s an interesting recurring theme.

Hello and happy Easter, if you’re celebrating today.

As I was bored, and had too much to drink, I thought I’d have a look at the price of Bitcoin over the last 12 years, on Easter Day.

Here goes.

From 2012 and until 2016, the price was below four figures.

2012 was the only year it was under two figures, it was just $4, 2013 was two figures, $92, and then in 2014, 2015 and 2016 it was $457, $244 and $416.

Between 2017 and 2020, it was always at four figures, although twice, in 2018 and 2020, the price was the result of a crash. It was $1,071 in 2017, $6,973 in 2018, $4,105 in 2019 and $6,448 in 2020.

From 2021 and 2024, the price has always been over five figures. It was $58,801 in 2021$45,823 in 2022, $28,556 in 2023 and $70,520 this year.

One of the recurring themes is the price one year is almost always lower than the price the previous year.

It happened in 2015 (lower than 2014), 2019 (lower than 2018), 2022 (lower than 2021) and 2023 (lower than 2022).

With that in mind, I fully expect near year’s price to be lower than this year’s. We’ll see.
