Yes IQ50 is legit, but there’s a catch

If you wanna exchange it…

Like many of you, I suspect, I recently received an airdrop for 800,000 IQ50, which is a scammy-looking token on the Solana network.

It looked dodgy AF, so I ignored it at first.

Then, as I kept finding messages about it on various forums, I thought I’d try and swap it.

I created a brand new wallet, just in case, transferred the whole amount, and enough SOL to pay for the gas fees, and attempted to exchange it.

To no avail. It just didn’t work (in Solflare). So I tried Jupiter, which also didn’t work.

And then I tried Raydium. It only took like maybe 20 attempts, but I managed to exchange 800,000 IQ50, worth $83 at the time, to Raydium (RAY).

So yeah, IQ50 is apparently not scammy, even though it looks it, but it’s certainly dodgy, and the fact it took so many attempts sort of proves it.

My advice? Do not exchange inside your main wallet, safer to use a brand new (and empty) one instead.
