Bitcoin price is well on its way above $65k, on its way to $70k or more, and it’s just a matter of time before it reaches a new all-time high.
However, for one specific reason, or more accurately if you count in a specific way, it already has.
The thing is, Bitcoin prices, and crypto prices in general, are mentioned in US Dollar.
This is a standardised convention, a by-product of the US Dollar dominance in the global currency market.
However, if you use the second-largest currency by trading volume, ie the EURO, Bitcoin has already reached a new ATH.
If calculated in euros, the current price of Bitcoin – €59,825 – has already surpassed its all-time high of €59,716 in 2021.
This is because every currency trades against the US Dollar, and the value of EUR against the USD has changed since 2021.
Looking forward to the ‘actual’, ‘real’ all-time high, in USD.
Coming soon.
