The Oasis Network is a crypto privacy ecosystem launched in 2018.
It is an L1 network, with a strong focus on privacy, running its own native currency called ROSE, which can be used for gas fees, staking, delegation and governance.
The whole point of Oasis is that it aims to optimise efficiency of dApps, but also increase their privacy.
Smart contracts are encrypted, so you can see them, but can’t ‘read them’.
Oasis also created something known as the Oasis Privacy Layer (OPL), a wrapper that allows third-party developers to increase their projects’ privacy without migrating away from their native chain.
The current supply is 6.5 billion ROSE, 65 percent of the grand total that’ll ever be available.
