Bitcoin is the big daddy. The go-to guy. It’s the Lionel Messi of the crypto world. With a record that won’t be beaten in the foreseeable future.
But there’s something I’d like to see in other crypto projects, and we haven’t seen it happen with any of them yet.
In my view, they should take a leaf out of Apple’s book.
I used to hate Apple, and there are still things I don’t like about the brand. But I’m sold.
The thing is, once you get used to their ecosystem everything else doesn’t make sense.
Apple doesn’t always have the best tech, but it does provide the most seamless user experience, and that’s more important.
I recently upgraded to Macbook Air after refusing to do so for years. At first, I said I didn’t want to but what I meant was I couldn’t afford to.
Then, when I finally got to a point where I could afford a Macbook Air, I still didn’t buy one because I was being stubborn.
But now I have, thanks to Amazon’s the interest-free, buy-now-pay-later thingy, and I wonder why I didn’t do this sooner.
It is 10 times faster than my previous Windows, and 100 times more seamless. I’m currently keeping 32 open tabs and it doesn’t bat an eyelid.
My old windows, a 2020 Lenovo, would be exploding by now.
The same goes with AirPods.
After moving in with my gf, whose name is UX Designer, I started borrowing her AirPods on a daily basis and at first, I thought they were great but I was like, “no way I’m paying $150 for these”.
However, I then bought four different ear buds and they all failed to meet expectations, for one reason or another.
I thought I’d hit the jackpot with my $70 JBL ones, but then the left one stopped working so I had to send them back.
Now I’ve got AirPods 3, again thanks to Amazon (because no way I wanna pay $150-something in one go), and they work brilliantly.
That’s what I want from a crypto project.
Solana seems to be on point, they even unveiled a phone, although that phone is a bit… UNGOOD.
But I have faith. Sooner or iLater, some iCrypto iProject will get there. iEventually.
