If you’re into crypto, you probably know a bit about it.
One thing goes with the other, you (usually) can’t really be good at something unless you like it. And if you enjoy doing something, then inevitably you’ll get better at it.
There are several ways you can monetise your crypto interest and / or skills, here are four ways I can think of.
4. Airdrops ($0 – $5,000+)
Airdrops are tricky, because you have to go ‘hunt’ them, look for them. Do a lot of due diligence.
And some Airdrops are sneaky, you may find yourself in a position where you’re eligible, without knowing it.
Some Airdrops are easy to find, usually the ones on CoinGecko and the likes.
Others require staking.
In general, airdrops have a lot to do with luck as well (not always), but they can be very profitable.
3. Customer service / support (usually $500 – $1,500 per month)
Customer service agents don’t make much but there are perks that come with the job if you manage to find a customer service agent job at a crypto project.
You may get early access to certain crypto project, or you may get paid in crypto.
This happened to me. A very long time ago, for about three years, I had a job as a customer service rep at a crypto exchange.
I got paid in BTC. I managed to save some of it. It was a blessing in disguise.
2. Copywriting and marketing ($7-800 – $2-3,000)
Copywriting and marketing can sometimes go together. When I tell people I’m a content writer, nine times out of ten they’re like, “oh like marketing”.
I wouldn’t necessarily think those two things align, but people do.
But I digress anyway. The bottom line, these jobs are relatively easy to find, and your skills matter a lot more than your Alma Mater.
The pay may vary a lot, depending on many factors.
PR and marketing gigs usually pay better than copywriting, and that’s usually because a lot of companies don’t know how to monetise their written content properly.
1. Developer ($3,000 – $10,000+)
This is one of the best-paid crypto jobs, by far. And it also gives you easy access to airdrops.
If you manage to find a job as a developer for an upcoming cryptocurrency or L1 blockchain, for example, you’ll automatically get access to the airdrop, and it’s usually for a large amount of coins, too.
Developers for the Celestia (TIA) project, for example, were given access to thousands of TIA coins, as opposed to other Airdrop users, who only got a few dozen.
Disclaimer: Salaries in brackets are an estimate / average across the board. They usually depend on a lot of factors, chief among which is your location. The highest salaries are usually granted by American companies but your salary as a remote worker will still always depend on where you’re based because they’re usually proportionate to the cost of living.
