These are several ways you can trade futures.
You can go long, short or use perpetual contracts.
Perpetual contracts are like futures, but they have no expiry date, hence the name.
Perpetual contracts are also advisable, and useful, in the crypto space because trading with long / short positions on a cryptocurrency is a bad idea.
The crypto circle can be take forever. We’ve seen it with Bitcoin.
If you’d bought one Bitcoin at the height of the bull run in 2017, it’d have cost $20,000.
And when it crashed, shortly thereafter, you’d have been in the red for a very long time, nearly four years.
With certain traditional financial instruments, that position would’ve been liquidated, and you’d have lost money. With perpetuals, this wouldn’t happen.
I’ve crossposted this article on Publish0x, a social media platform that pays crypto to create and/or read content. You need to sign up but it’s 100% free.
