Solana is one of those cryptos that could go to zero and people would still believe in it.
It certainly has a strong brand, strong enough that they felt in the right position to launch a mobile phone dubbed ‘Saga’.
I haven’t bought it, chiefly because I no longer use Android, but I was curious, so I watched a few YouTube reviews.
It seems the Solana Saga is basically just an Android phone with an admittedly very stylish shell and a few Dapps.
It was launched with a price of $1,000.
But the price has already gone down a lot, apparently.
Solana just did a sale (they call it the Solstice sale), with three separate discount codes.
For 24 hours (ending Thursday, June 22nd 3 PM UTC), anyone can get the phone for $850 with the code SOLANASUMMER.
Early birds were able to get it for $420.69 with the code DOORBUSTER.
Two things on that front. A, that’s an incredibly steep discount, over 50 percent, and B, unfortunately (or fortunately, depending on your point of view), this code is no longer available, I tried.
Lastly, you can use code XMASINJUNE to get it for $690.42. This code still worked when I tried it at 6 PM CET.
Saga was released on May 8, and it’s not a good look that you can get it for half the price 40 days later.
But this is just my opinion, what are your thoughts?
